- When asked what was the greatest commandment, didn't Jesus respond, "to love one another..." And what about that golden rule - do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Denying gays and lesbians the same rights as heterosexuals is completely contrary to those Bible laws.

- It's the convention, not the election and homophobes were never going to vote for Obama anyway. So I'm not sure I see what votes this will cost him. However, if they were to move the convention, that would be pretty insulting and could cost him votes. But that's a media fantasy.
